Adirondack chairs, kayaks and a fire pit on the private Lake Huron beach at Seven Shores

Plan your stay

Your shore for the week.

Made for grown-up lake days — reunions, friend groups, multi-family trips, and quiet weeks by the water. Welcoming to the kids who come along.

The whole resort

Seven cabins. One private beach.

Book all seven together and the property is yours — 15 bedrooms, 8 baths, sleeping up to 32 guests. The kind of week where cousins run between porches, the fire pit stays lit, and nobody has to say goodnight in a hotel lobby.

The cabins

Seven cabins, side by side.

Each cabin is its own small house — a full kitchen, real beds, a porch that looks toward the water. Cabin sizes range from one to three bedrooms, so groups can spread out without scattering.

Expectation setting

A good fit — and when it isn't.

A good fit for

  • Reunions and multi-family trips who want everyone under one shoreline
  • Friend groups looking for a slow, screen-off week by the lake
  • Adults who love a bonfire, a kayak, a book on the sand
  • Families with kids who enjoy unstructured beach days
  • Small retreats — yoga, writers, quiet offsites — by request

Probably not the right fit

  • Guests looking for a waterpark, arcade, or highly programmed resort
  • Bachelor / bachelorette parties or event-style rentals with amplified sound
  • Trips that need on-site lifeguards or supervised kids’ programming
  • Weddings — we’re a residential-scale property, not a wedding venue
  • Guests unwilling to actively supervise children near open water

On the water

A calm shoreline. A real one.

Lake Huron is beautiful and moody. Please read this before you head down to the beach — it's written for guests, not lawyers.

  • No lifeguard is on duty. All swimming and waterfront activity is at your own risk.
  • Never swim alone. Adults must actively and continuously supervise children and inexperienced swimmers.
  • Wear a properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket for kayaking, paddling, and for children or inexperienced swimmers. Property-provided life jackets are a convenience and may not fit every guest — please bring your own.
  • Check weather, wind, waves, and any local advisories before entering the water. Lake Huron conditions can change quickly.
  • Avoid inflatables, rafts, paddleboards, and kayaks in strong or offshore winds. Inflatables can be carried away from shore in minutes.
  • Do not enter the water during storms, lightning, rough conditions, posted warnings, or local advisories.
  • Natural shorelines may have rocks, shells, sharp objects, uneven ground, shifting sandbars, and aquatic plants. Water shoes are recommended.
  • Do not dive into unknown or shallow water and do not jump from structures unless they are expressly designated for it.
  • Do not swim with open wounds. Avoid swallowing lake water. Follow local health advisories, especially after heavy rain.
  • Kayaks and waterfront equipment are used at your own risk. Follow posted capacity and operating instructions.
  • Alcohol and water activities do not mix. Please use good judgment.
  • In an emergency, call 911 and give the property address at 5878 East River Road, Oscoda, MI.

Common questions

Before you inquire.

For the full list, see the FAQ on the homepage. These are the questions we get most while people are planning.

How do minimum stays actually work?
Whole-resort stays are prioritized at 5 nights in June–August and 4 nights in September. Shorter stays and individual cabins may open up closer to arrival. Submit anything — we'll suggest compliant windows if yours doesn't line up.
Are kids and families welcome?
Yes. Seven Shores is designed for grown-up lake days, and it welcomes the kids who come along. It is not a children's resort or waterpark — there are no on-site lifeguards or supervised kids' programming. Adults are responsible for actively supervising children near the water.
Are life jackets and kayaks provided?
Kayaks and some life jackets may be available as guest conveniences. They are not a guaranteed inventory. Please bring a properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket for children and inexperienced swimmers.
Can you swim in Lake Huron?
Guests do — with care. No lifeguard is on duty and conditions change quickly. Check weather and advisories, never swim alone, and skip the water in storms or rough conditions.
How firm are these dates once I book?
Changes and cancellations follow the terms of the confirmed booking on Airbnb or the direct-booking channel. We won't invent a policy here — check the terms shown at checkout.
Do you host weddings?
No. We're a residential-scale property and not set up as a wedding venue. Small reunions, milestone birthdays, and quiet retreats are welcome — ask us.
